Blocking someone
If another member is making the community unpleasant, you can block them.
What blocking does
You stop seeing their posts, comments, attachments, photos, photo tags, direct messages and notifications — and they stop seeing yours. It works in both directions, so blocking someone also stops them reading and replying to you.
Blocking is private. The person you block is not told, and there is no indication anywhere that you have done it.
What blocking does not do
This is the part worth reading twice, because on a chapter roster “block” sounds bigger than it is.
Blocking does not remove anyone from your chapter, and it does not change anybody’s membership, dues, compliance requirements, or obligations to each other. It changes what you see and nothing else. Your officers still see all content, so moderation keeps working normally.
Officers cannot be blocked
You cannot block an officer, chapter president, or organization administrator. They may need to reach you about dues, compliance, or chapter business, and a block would prevent that.
You can still report anything they post. Reporting puts a human in the loop rather than hiding the problem, and is the right tool when the issue is with someone who holds a position.
How to block someone
Open any of their posts and choose Block. You will be asked to confirm, and the confirmation repeats what blocking does and does not do.
How to unblock someone
Go to Settings → Privacy → Blocked members and choose Unblock next to their name. Their content reappears immediately, in both directions.
