Alumni directory, mentor profiles, career board, and privacy-aware contact info — for the post-undergraduate journey.
The Alumni module supports the post-undergraduate journey — staying connected, mentoring, recruiting, and giving back.
What this module enables

Visibility model
Alumni control their own visibility:
- Public to all undergrads in their org (default)
- Visible only to other alumni
- Visible only to their own chapter's alumni
- Hidden from directory (still searchable by org admin)
Career board
Alumni can post:
- Full-time positions
- Internships
- Contract / project work
- Mentorship opportunities
Each post has:
- Role
- Company
- Location
- Application URL or contact email
- Description (markdown)
Posts auto-expire after 30 days unless renewed.
Mentorship requests
Active members can request mentorship. The flow:
- Member browses mentors
- Member sends a request with intro message
- Mentor accepts, declines, or asks for more info
- Connection happens off-platform (LinkedIn, email, video call)
Mentors can pause their profile when busy.
Status transitions
When a member's status changes from Undergraduate to Alumni:
- They keep their account
- Their chapter directory entry switches to alumni view
- Their profile becomes searchable in the alumni directory (default; respecting their privacy settings)
- They can opt into mentorship and the career board
Officers / org admins handle this transition during graduation cycles.
Privacy
Alumni can:
- Hide contact fields (email, phone) while remaining in the directory
- Hide employer info while remaining searchable
- Opt out of mentorship requests
- Disable the career board for their account
