Learning module

Built-in LMS — courses, modules, lessons, assessments, certificates, and rule-based course assignment.

Learning is GreekManage's built-in learning management system. Org admins author courses, members complete them, and the platform issues a verifiable certificate at the end. Common use cases: annual hazing prevention, risk management training, financial literacy for new members, FERPA / Title IX overviews, and leadership tracks for emerging officers.

A course is structured as one or more modules, each of which holds one or more lessons and assessments. Five lesson types are supported — text, video, embedded document, image, and link — and assessments offer five question types: multiple choice, multi-select, true / false, short answer, and essay. Multi-select questions can award partial credit. Uploaded PDFs, PowerPoint decks, and Word documents are converted to a viewer-friendly format in the background using LibreOffice.

Audience​

  • Members see their assigned courses, work through lessons, take quizzes, and earn certificates.
  • Chapter officers can monitor chapter completion on a dashboard but typically do not author content.
  • National (org) admins author courses, set assignment rules, grade essay questions, and view org-wide completion analytics.

What gets enabled​

When Learning is licensed:

  • My Learning appears in member sidebars with assigned and in-progress courses.
  • Org admins gain a course catalog, course authoring, assignment rules, grading queue, and certificate browser.
  • Courses can be scoped at three tiers: national (entire org), regional (a specific region's chapters), or chapter (a single chapter).
  • Auto-assignment runs continuously, picking up new members and member-status transitions and enrolling them in the right courses.
  • Deadline reminders are sent at 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before a course's due date. Overdue enrollments are flagged automatically.
  • Members who pass the final assessment receive a downloadable PDF certificate with a public verification URL.

What's NOT in this module​

  • Learning is not a discussion forum — pair courses with chapter discussion in Community to reinforce content.
  • There is no live / synchronous classroom; courses are self-paced.
  • Compliance is a separate module — a course completion can be the evidence behind a compliance requirement, but the two are tracked independently.
