Foundation

Foundation is GreekManage's fundraising module: campaigns, public donate pages, donor CRM, and reporting.

Configure Foundation

Org → Foundation → Settings.

Set:

  • Foundation name (often distinct from the org — "X Educational Foundation")
  • EIN / 501(c)(3) tax ID
  • Mailing address for donor receipts
  • Payment processor — usually a separate Stripe account from dues, since foundation funds are tax-deductible
  • Branding — logo, colors for donation pages

Create a campaign

A campaign is a fundraising effort with a goal, timeline, and public page.

  1. Open Org → Foundation → CampaignsNew campaign.
  2. Set:
    • Name (e.g., "Annual Fund 2026")
    • Slug — used in the public URL
    • Goal amount
    • Start and end dates
    • Public description (markdown supported)
    • Hero image
    • Suggested donation amounts (e.g., $25, $50, $100, $500)
    • Allow recurring donations — yes/no, monthly or annually
  3. Click Publish.

Your public donate URL: https://[your-domain]/donate/[foundation-id]/[campaign-slug]

Public campaign page

The public page renders:

  • Campaign name, description, hero image
  • Live progress bar toward the goal
  • Suggested amounts as buttons
  • Custom amount field
  • Donor information form (name, email, address)
  • Optional fields: dedication ("In honor of…"), employer match info, anonymous toggle

Donors can:

  • Pay with card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or ACH
  • Set up recurring donations
  • Get an immediate emailed receipt

Donations dashboard

Org → Foundation → Donations.

Filter and export:

  • By campaign
  • By donor
  • By date range
  • By amount range
  • By status (Successful, Pending, Refunded)

Each donation row links to:

  • The donor profile
  • The campaign
  • The Stripe transaction
  • The receipt

Donor CRM

Org → Foundation → Donors.

Each donor has a profile:

  • Lifetime giving total
  • Recent donations (full history)
  • Recurring status
  • Custom notes (private to admins)
  • Tags (Major Donor, Alumni, Board Member, etc.)

You can:

  • Send thank-you messages from the donor profile
  • Issue refunds
  • Tag and segment for outreach

Bulletins on campaigns

Post updates to the public campaign page:

  1. Open the campaign.
  2. Click BulletinsNew bulletin.
  3. Add an update ("We just hit 50% of our goal!").
  4. Publish.

Bulletins appear inline on the public page, building urgency and showing momentum.

Reports

Org → Foundation → Reports:

  • Campaign performance (goal vs. raised, % to goal, days remaining)
  • Donor retention (year-over-year)
  • Top donors
  • Recurring donor health
  • Geographic breakdown (by donor address)
  • Year-end summary (for annual reports)

Export to CSV, XLSX, or PDF.

Tax receipts

GreekManage generates IRS-compliant donation receipts automatically:

  • Single-donation receipts emailed at time of donation
  • Annual statements emailed in January (recipient summary for prior year)

You can customize the receipt template in Foundation → Settings → Receipt template.

Tips

  • Pilot a small campaign first. Test the public flow with a $5 donation from yourself before launching the big one.
  • Use bulletins for momentum. A campaign that "hit 50%" feels different than one stalled at 47%.
  • Tag aggressively. A well-tagged donor list makes year-end outreach 10× more efficient.
